Loudcloud was a very fast growing company, with short-term plans for an IPO.  As a newly formed company, business processes were invented on the fly, with little or no integration across functions and little visibility to information.  An added challenge was that Loudcloud was hiring extremely fast and did not have all the resources in place at the start of the implementation.
