Centerpoint Broadband Technologies is a rapidly growing optical networking company dedicated to delivering high capacity optical and broadband wireless systems offering scalability and significant reductions in networking costs.  Centerpoint provides metro, regional, and long haul optical carriers solutions that support rapid capacity growth, simple provisioning and minimum capital outlays for their customers.

 

Business Case

As a newly formed company focusing on R&D and engineering, Centerpoint had very little by way of integrated business processes and systems.  The company’s plans called for needing to build and ship production units within 5 months, while pursuing national/international expansion and acquisitions.  They needed to define their outsourced manufacturing strategy and model, including integration of suppliers with internal planning, procurement, and fulfillment functions.  To accomplish their business goals, Centerpoint needed to implement an integrated financial, manufacturing, distribution, and advanced planning application with the capability of supporting international operations and outsourced manufacturing.
